Your Initial Visit
If you have need
for emergency treatment, we will meet that need first
in order
to relieve any immediate discomfort you may have.
Emergency
treatment, in and of itself, almost always constitutes one
visit.
Non-emergency first
visits are the times when the patient and doctor meet to discuss
any dental wants or needs. This initial visit will include a
comprehensive examination of the teeth and soft tissues of the
mouth. Also, any necessary radiographs will be taken at that
time in order to develop a complete diagnosis. During the
initial examination, we will develop a treatment plan to meet
your needs. We will then discuss our findings and
recommendations with you. If treatment alternatives exist, we
will explain these along their advantages and disadvantages.
Before any treatment begins, we will answer any and all of your
questions and let you know the fees and estimated time needed to
complete your treatment.
Emergency Care
Any patient who
requires treatment for an emergency condition is encouraged to
call the office immediately. We will do all we can to arrange
for prompt attention to your problem. For your comfort, we
accept and answer emergency calls 24 hours each day.
For Your Comfort
We believe that
your visits should be as comfortable and as pleasant as
possible. Please inform our staff if you have any special needs
or if we can do anything to make your treatment experience more
comfortable.
Technology
We strive to
provide our patients with the most comprehensive
state-of-the-art techniques as are feasible. For instance, we
utilize an intra-oral camera which allows our clinical team to
view our patients dental condition on a compute monitor. This
system uses a toothbrush-sized camera to project images onto an
overhead screen. One of the advantages to this system is that it
allows the patient to view exactly what the doctor or hygienist
is seeing. An added benefit is that we find an educated patient
then tends to take greater ownership of their oral health.
